Bad Data Everywhere
Just a quick example of the bad data that exists everywhere.
Check this piece of junk mail out.
It is a piece of mail I received earlier this week. The address is mine but not the name. It is addressed to Michael Stonebraker... For those who do not know Michael Stonebraker, suffice it to say that he does not work for me.
I wonder, of all the mailing lists out there at all the various companies and marketers, how much of the data is just plain awful? This example is not damaging. But it coulda been...
