Dueling Blogs?
Now, as some of you know, my background is as a DBA. I started out in the mainframe world administering IMS databases many years ago, and quickly moved on to DB2 as soon as I was given the opportunity to. Much of my career has been spent learning, using, training, and speaking about mainframe DB2.
With that in mind, I've started a second blog at www.db2portal.com/blog.html. That blog primarily will focus on two subjects: DB2 for z/OS and mainframe issues. The content there will differ from the content here. Although sometimes a DB2 mainframe topic will find its way to this blog, I'll probably post it to DB2portal and reference it here.
I do plan to keep on posting here. I just also plan to start posting over there, too. The number of posts on this blog will likely be much greater than on my DB2 blog, where I will try to keep it down to about one post maximum per week. As regular readers of this blog know, I don't follow any regular posting schedule here, but I probably average out to 2 or more posts per week.
So, if you are a DBA, data architect, database designer, or anyone who has even a passing interest in data, please keep on coming back here to read this blog. But if you also work with DB2 for z/OS, or are just a big old mainframe bigot, then go on over to DB2portal.com and check out my DB2 mainframe blog.
Finally, if you have any ideas, thoughts, questions, or comments on any of my blogs, please feel free to either post a comment right on the blog - or drop me an e-mail. If I don't have answers, I'm sure I'll at least have opinions to share...
